Level: Undergraduate research (Iniciação Científica) · Status: Open

Prerequisites: introductory optics; basic Python for data analysis (see the Python for experimental sciences posts).

What you’ll do

Assemble a spatial-light-modulator setup to create optical vortices, image the resulting beams, and implement a simple numerical pipeline to estimate their orbital angular momentum. A good first project for getting hands-on with experimental optics and scientific programming.
